Grand Opening
Carefirst Family Health Team officially opened its doors to patients in July 2007. With a team of family physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioner, as well as supporting administrative staff, our Richmond Hill family health centre will provide primary health care to the surrounding communities, including Chinese and South Asian minorities.
The Carefirst Family Health Team is part of an Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care initiative to establish greater access to interdisciplinary physicians as well as other health care specialists for communities across the provice.
With a long tradition of senior and community service across the Greater Toronto Area, Carefirst is proud to celebrate the opening of the new clinic in Richmond Hill. Within 5 years, Carefirst plans to open a second Family Health Team clinic in the Scarborough area.
